Our holiday lodge owners received a warm welcome back this week as we re-opened Abbots Green on Monday, April 12th, in glorious Spring sunshine.

It has been absolutely fantastic to see everyone arriving back at their happy place after months away and to catch up (at a distance!) with each other.

Our lodge owners have been telling us how delighted they are to be back in their holiday homes and how well Abbots Green has been maintained through the latest lockdown.

Comments include:

  • “Great to be back.”
  • “I can’t believe how much I have missed this place.”
  • “The park is looking fantastic.”
  • “We can’t wait to catch up with everyone when we can, social distancing allowing.”
  • “We have retired so we are going to spend a lot more time here and enjoy our holiday home.”

It was also brilliant to be able to re-open the Old Barn Coffee Shop, the on-site café at our neighbouring park, York House. A new plastic cover has been placed over the patio area, to ensure customers can enjoy their experience, whatever the weather.

The Old Barn is now open for takeaways and outside table service from 10am to 3pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. A delicious selection of breakfast rolls, sandwiches, cakes and drinks are available.

The procedures that we implemented at Abbots Green after the first lockdown, including social distancing rules, remain in place to ensure the safety of both our holiday home owners and our staff. We are also keeping up to date with the latest Government guidance and restrictions. For more about the rules for visiting our holiday parks, please click here.

We can’t wait to welcome back more home owners to their lodges at Abbots Green as the weeks go by, and to see everyone enjoying some well-deserved fun and relaxation.
